About Us

Welcome to the website of the parishes of St. John the Baptist in Paris, WI and St. Francis Xavier in Brighton, WI.  We are glad you have found us!  These are two wonderful country parishes located in the beautiful farmland of southeastern Wisconsin along highway 142.  Both parishes have been in existence for over 150 years and are thus steeped in great pride and many wonderful traditions. Since my first day here I have found that these parishes enjoy two things; good friendly fellowship and robust singing.  This combination makes for a community that takes its Catholic faith seriously but not so much itself.  The worship is inspiring and the people are warm.  But don't take my word for it, come and see for yourself.

So, explore our website and find out all that we have to offer.  Mostly, I hope that you come and visit us at St. John the Baptist and/or Saint Francis Xavier and choose to stay for a while. Weekend Masses are at Saturday, 4 pm, at St. Francis Xavier on the first, third, and fifth (if necessary) Saturday of the month, and at Saturday, 4 pm, at St. John the Baptist on the second and fourth Saturday of the month. Sunday 8 am Mass is at St. Francis Xavier, and Sunday 10:30 am Mass is at St. John the Baptist. Please feel free to contact us at 262-878-2267, 262-859-2484, or by email.

Our Mission

We are a community of Faith, relying on the direction of the Holy Spirit. We, as Catholics, recognize our responsibility to share Jesus Christ's message of Prayer and Worship through Christian Formation and Ministry, to all God's People.

Furthermore, we recognize the responsibility, across parish boundaries, to share Jesus' Message to Live, Love, and Serve.

Together, we share our unique gifts, and individual time and talents that God has given to each of us. We share these gifts as disciples of the Lord, for the building up of the body of Christ, the Church.
