Father Russell Arnett

I grew up Southern Baptist in Texas until I became Episcopalian at the age of twenty-four.  My professional career was in marketing analysis for two major consumer product manufacturers until I was thirty-eight at which time I left for the woods of Wisconsin to go to the Episcopal seminary, Nashotah House in Nashotah, Wisconsin.  After graduating in 1999, I served for eight years as an ordained Episcopal priest and then became a Catholic in 2007.  While at Seminary I met and later married Diane Arnett in 2001.  As a married and ordained Episcopal clergymrn seeking to join Roman Catholicism I applied for a process called the Pastoral Provision through the Arch-diocese of Milwaukee.  This provision (initiated in 1980 by Blessed John Paul II) allows a special exception for men who are protestant ministers and feel called to the Catholic priesthood, to continue in their vocation of marriage and of ministry as a married Catholic priest.  More information can be found out about this at www.pastoralprovision.org.  After 4 1/2 years of study and waiting I was ordained to the Roman Catholic priesthood on March 19th at Saint Jerome parish in Oconomowoc, WI.  I began serving here at Saint Francis and Saint John in June of 2010 and have been blessed beyond belief to again serve our Lord Jesus Christ at his altar in these special communities.
